Open Belt Length

L = 2C + π(D+d)/2 + (D−d)²/(4C)

Crossed Belt Length

L = 2C + π(D+d)/2 + (D+d)²/(4C)

Wrap Angle (small pulley, open drive)

θ = 180° − 2·sin⁻¹[(D−d)/(2C)]

Speed Ratio

i = D/d → n₂ = n₁/i

Belt Speed

v = π·D·n / 60 [m/s]

Power Transmitted

P = (T₁ − T₂) × v [kW]

D = driver pulley diameter, d = driven pulley diameter, C = centre distance, L = belt pitch length, n₁ = driver speed (RPM). All dimensions in consistent units.
