Gert-Juul Vonkeman obtained the degrees B Proc & LLB in 1991 and 1993 & finalised his articles of clerkship in 1993, in Bloemfontein. He is the proprietor of the firm. Jacques Viljoen joined our firm in 2010, after securing his LLB degree from the University of Potchefstroom and completing his contract of articles with our firm. His special focus is Criminal Law. In 2000, Kathleen O'Halloran was appointed as full time paralegal, running the debt-collection department. GJ Vonkeman Attorneys commenced business on 25 May 1998. It has come a long way from its humble beginnings having developed in addition to its general practice, a conveyancing-and specialised debt-collections department, serving and catering for all our client's legal needs. We are a small hands on firm, where the legal work is personally undertaken by the professional staff which skills and experience in various areas of law are complimented and supported by skilled support staff. Our firm comprises 2 attorneys, 2 paralegals, articled clerk, secretarial staff and an office manager. The firm has the requisite systems, communications and infrastructure to efficiently provide the best possible service to clients.
