Weddings. We love weddings. We have been photographing gorgeous love stories for over five years and have witnessed more than 220 couples tie the knot – and we love it even more today than when we first started! Seeing personalities reflected in decor, colour, dress styles, suits, flower arrangements and all the many details that make up a wedding day really gets us excited. We aim to bring all of these, and the gorgeous love story and good times of a wedding day to life with technical excellence and personal involvement. Our skill as photographers with more than 5000 combined hours of professional photography to our names enable us to capture a wedding day not only with a lot of skill but also the ever so necessary eye for detail and special moments. But numbers and details aside: who are we? We are down to earth people with a serious work ethic. We love God, and we are forever grateful for His saving grace in our lives. Our photography is rooted in our belief the photography is part of our calling. Our aim is to provide excellence in what we do to His honour and glory – not to our own. Our skill is a blessing. We had to work very hard to where we are today – but that is also a blessing. We are young and we live in a little house with three dogs, a cat and our wonderful adopted son and daughter. Adopting our handsome little man and our super cute little girl has had a profound impact on our lives – a positive one, and we love them to bits. Being parents is one of the most awesome experiences that we have ever had – a deep and profound sense of pride and responsibility comes with parenting. Such a blessing! Carolien has a thing for film – she ruins the household budget with her film hobby. But her love for film and vintage cameras and light metering is part of what makes her such an amazing wedding photographer! Carolien also loves studying for a hobby, but what she is studying is a big secret… Carolien makes the BEST chocolate brownies EVER. Twist her arm, maybe you will get some! Carolien spends much of her time keeping Ben from getting into trouble. Ben is a jack of many trades. Professional musician (Classical Guitar teacher for 15 years and counting), single speed mountain biker, professional photographer and serial student (Afrikaans Literature, English Literature, Psychology, Music, Education and Theology – we will see what degree 2015 brings). Ben also does a lot of DIY and the rest of the cooking (when brownies are not on the menu). Ben spends most of his time with his dry sense of humour. We are Carolien and Ben – we love life.
